THE ENEMY IS WICKED!!!

NOTICE! NOTICE!! NOTICE!!! 

Before I start, I have to let you know, ‘wicked’ in the title is NOT an adjective! It’s a NOUN! The enemy is not just wicked in his actions… he is himself WICKEDNESS!!!

I have a story to tell. A very sad one, but before that, a brief intro - The Bible in Ephesians 6:12 says
 

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against PRINCIPALITIES, against POWERS, against the RULERS OF THE DARKNESS of this world, against SPIRITUAL WICKEDNESS IN HIGH PLACES.

These are not the conventional witches and wizards or possessed demoniacs. These are ‘mini-gods with a grudge’! They were cast down from heaven and have eternal damnation awaiting them. You know the story. If not, click HERE to get the full gist. Sometime in the Bible Daniel was fasting and praying for 21 days. It reached 21 days not because God didn’t want to answer or because there was sin in him. In fact according to the text, God sent answers to his prayers on the first day he knelt down to pray via the Archangel Gabriel, but the kings of Persia (satan’s principalities and powers) held Gabriel hostage! Not for 1 or 2 days, but for good 21 days!!! I can just imagine what a kidnap it must have been! Do you know what it is to hold a god hostage? Not just any god, The Almighty’s personal messenger!  God had to send the Archangel Michael had to go rescue him from the clutches of darkness. Just read Daniel 10:1-13 and see for yourself!
 

I am not here to glorify the enemy or scare you but to point out two things:
Your adversary (the devil) is WICKED!
YOU HAVE MORE POWER THAN HIM!!!
 
Do you know what Philippians 2:9-10 says?! Chekirrout:
 

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is ABOVE EVERY NAME: that at the name of JESUS EVERY KNEE SHOULD BOW, OF THINGS IN HEAVEN, AND THINGS IN EARTH, AND THINGS UNDER THE EARTH!!!

Did I see you smile?! God just gave us a spiritual BAZOOKA! In the warfront, nothing can face the bazooka! No army, no gun, no grenade, no bomb. The very powerful bazookas take out tanks! They take out ANYTHING! Same thing with the name of Jesus! The verse above says, EVERYTHING WILL BOW! Both those that are in Heaven, those that are on Earth and those under (satan and his minions included!!!) HALLELUJAH!
 
1 Peter 5:8 says:
 

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may DEVOUR!

This dear reader is why we, especially those of us who believe in God have to be on guard! The devil is not resting. He is ever busy, ever waiting. Just at the corner and like a lion, when he sees the least opportunity, he pounces! I pray this would not be our portion in Jesus name (AMEN).
 
My brother and sister reading this right now, I have seen so many evils happen. Some live, some I heard; but on the 21st of this month (July), I witnessed something that would forever change my life, prayer pattern, thinking and orientation towards the enemy. It made me fully understand why the Bible said
 

“Suffer not a witch to live” (Exodus 22:18)

Please, don’t confuse this with what Jesus said in Matthew 5:44, Luke 6:27 & 35, where he says

“Love your enemies”

He later goes on to define the enemies He meant in all three verses as those who curse you, hate you, despitefully use you, and those who persecute you!

On this fateful day, (the 21st of July, 2013), I arrived from the UK to Nigeria in a fully booked Airbus A340 Virgin Atlantic flight. We arrived Lagos at around 5am and immediately proceeded to customs. Few hours later I was en-route to the domestic wing of the airport to get my flight back home. On getting there it was CHAOTIC! WHAT HAPPENED?! Everyone seemed to be in frenzy. The cold morning air, plus anxiety, plus the woman wailing on the ground, plus the fact that there was BLOOD everywhere made everything appear even more tumultuous! No one would answer my question or even talk to me until some hours later when I pulled one of the porters to myself for an explanation.
 
The story behind the whole scene was so sad, gory and shocking; I was rooted to my sit for close to an hour. I could not move and my mouth was left widely! After I regained consciousness there was only one thing I could do – join the crowd of people looking at this woman on the ground and reiterate what several other people were saying – ‘this was the work of the enemy’!
 
This is what the porter told me. An elderly couple had come with me on the same flight from London. They had proceeded to the domestic wing where one of their daughters was waiting for them. They had planned to take a connecting flight to the east where even many more of their children were waiting. When the car dropped them at the entrance of the domestic airport, they disembarked and started towards the door. Just at the mouth of the door, the healthy looking husband fell. He fell straight backwards, cracking his head open on the tiled floor! Blood flowed freely and he died on the spot, right in front of his wife, daughter and several other relations!
 
Till today this is still incomprehensible to me! This is someone who just ‘survived’ a 6-hour flight, coming with goodies and gifts for loved ones. They had to use two trolleys to carry the entire load they brought from the UK; but all that was forgotten when this heartbreaking incident occurred!
 
The Bible once asked “WHO HAS DONE THIS?!”
 
But 2 Corinthians 2:11b says:
 

“For we are not ignorant of his devices”

My dear reader, do not be ignorant of the devices of the enemy. He is out to steal, kill and destroy. If you stand and look, he will pounce, but if you cry to JESUS, place yourself in the hollow hands of the creator, and utilise that powerful name you have been given, you and your family will be SAFE and SAVED!
 
James 5:16b says:
 

“The effectual fervent prayer of a Righteous man AVAILETH MUCH.”

Remember:
 

THERE IS A GOD IN HEAVEN
AND HE IS THE MOST POWERFUL!!!
